Poppies of Languedoc
- 41 x 33 cm
€120
I painted this work en plein air near Colombiers and Béziers in the South of France, surrounded by wild poppy fields, olive trees, and Mediterranean light. Created in gouache on paper, the painting combines expressive brushwork, layered color, and direct observation from nature. I focused on the rhythm of the landscape, the movement of flowers and grasses, and the contrast between vivid red poppies and soft blue-green tones. Inspired by the rural atmosphere of Languedoc and Occitanie, this work blends contemporary impressionism with expressive landscape painting. The work is available framed.

Olive Trees and Poppy Bloom
- 35 x 25 cm

€150
This gouache painting was inspired by the landscapes of Occitanie in southern France during May, when the fields begin to glow with vivid reds and fresh spring greens. I was drawn to the contrast between the quiet silver olive trees, the dark vertical rhythm of the cypresses, and the flowering poppies stretching across the foreground. I wanted to capture not only the color of the landscape, but also the stillness and soft southern air that arrives before the full heat of summer. The layered brushwork and expressive texture keep the image balanced between observation, memory, and atmosphere rather than strict realism. Painted in gouache on paper, this work has an intimate scale and a decorative Mediterranean character. The painting is sold framed in a carefully selected frame that complements the warm tones and character of the landscape. The artwork is protected under plexiglass.
