The Other Side of Here
A Place Almost Remembered
- 50 x 50 cm
In A Place Almost Remembered, I worked with muted colours, fragmented shapes and loose graphic marks. I wanted some forms to remain visible while others almost disappear into the surface. For me, the painting carries the feeling of a place I somehow know but cannot fully remember. The details are gone, but the atmosphere remains. contemporary abstract art, abstract expressionism, atmospheric abstract, layered abstract painting, textured abstract art, muted color palette, pastel abstract art, expressive mark making, gestural abstraction, graphic marks, abstract landscape, memory and place, contemporary interior art, modern abstract painting, original abstract artwork. The painting is coated with satin varnish for protection.

Atmospheric Abstract Painting in Muted Colors
The Other Side of Here
- 100 x 80 cm
The Other Side of Here In this work, I explore the feeling that familiar space may contain another reality within it. Forms overlap, surfaces shift, and fragments of colour create a place that feels both present and somewhere beyond reach. I am interested in that uncertain point where one space becomes another — where the visible world opens into something less defined, shaped by memory, perception and imagination. The Other Side of Here is about this quiet transition: not an escape from reality, but the possibility that there is always more within what we see. The painting is finished with a protective satin varnish.
