I created Where Wonder Remains as a reflection on the part of us that remains connected to childhood, dreams, imagination, and the simple joy of discovering the world. Although we grow older and life changes us, I believe that some of those early feelings never truly disappear. I still carry within me that sense of wonder, lightness, tenderness, and quiet joy, and through this painting I wanted to share a glimpse of it with the viewer. This contemporary abstract painting combines elements of abstract expressionism with a layered, textured surface. A soft pastel colour palette of dusty pink, pale blue, sage green, warm beige, and earthy tones is enriched by deeper burgundy, terracotta, and muted violet accents. Loose gestural marks, translucent layers, and subtle fragments create a sense of movement, depth, and an almost dreamlike atmosphere. I am not depicting a particular place or moment. Instead, I explore an emotional landscape shaped by memory, dreams, childhood impressions, and imagination. The painting is an attempt to capture something that cannot really be described in words: the feeling of seeing the world with openness, curiosity, and the quiet certainty that something beautiful is possible. Where Wonder Remains is my invitation to reconnect with that feeling. To remember the part of ourselves that still dreams, still notices beauty, and still knows how to experience joy without needing a reason. Perhaps we never truly leave that world behind. We simply learn to carry it with us. The painting is finished with a protective varnish and can be purchased as a finished work, stretched on its wooden stretcher frame and ready to hang. Alternatively, upon request, I can remove the canvas from the stretcher, carefully roll it, and ship it rolled. In this case, the buyer will need to have the canvas re-stretched onto a suitable frame before displaying it.
