Where Flowers Become Stories. I have always loved flowers and fairy tales. As a child, I read countless stories and was fascinated by the worlds they opened up, where everything seemed possible and the ordinary could become magical. In this painting, I return to that feeling of seeing the world from a child’s perspective, when a garden could feel enormous and every flower, shadow and tangled form could hold a secret. I imagine myself small, almost inside the flowers, surrounded by their colours, movement and mysterious connections. The layered forms intertwine and shift between recognisable flowers and imagined shapes, creating a space where reality gently dissolves into memory and imagination. Rather than depicting a particular garden, I wanted to capture the feeling of being immersed in one, where the mind is free to wander and create its own stories. I still love flowers, and I still believe in miracles. Perhaps growing older does not mean leaving that world behind. Perhaps it simply means learning to find it again. The painting is finished with a satin varnish for protection and long-term preservation.
